About Us
We are not an assembly line, multi-doctor practice with long wait times, and grumpy staff members. We see patients on time. We don’t treat you like a number. Our space is warm, open and friendly.
We take the time to explain things to you. Your insurance/costs, the finer points of the exam, and the recommendations for your ocular health – we try and make sure these important things are clearly explained to you.
Our office is easily accessible online. Appointment scheduling and contact lens orders are both available via our website whenever it’s convenient for you. And Dr. Tom is happy to answer follow-up questions via email if needed.

Dr. Tom Brillante, O.D was born and raised in Pembroke Pines, Florida (near Fort Lauderdale). He attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where he received his undergraduate degree in History.

Yvette was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Yvette joined Decatur Eye Care in an effort to expand her knowledge in a new field of business and looks forward to helping the friendly and professional practice remain the best place to go for eye care health. Prior to this, Yvette served as Special Project Administrator for a Chicago based financial institution.

Denise was born in the Caribbean Island of Barbados and migrated to the US with her family as a child where she lived in Brooklyn, NY. Denise attended Baruch College in New York City and later transferred to Georgia State University where she received her BA in Sociology.
